Musical Rumpus: on tour

Our hit interactive opera series for babies Musical Rumpus returns for a new outing this spring. In a brand new piece called The Mountain Shakers the team, led by Zoe Palmer and Sam Glazer, transform Handel’s rustic Acis and Galatea into a fantastical world of colours and sounds, featuring a giant, a nymph, and lots of sheep!

Joining Zoe and Sam are musicians Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and The Sixteen’s Genesis Sixteen programme, and together they’ll be taking the The Mountain Shakers around the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham and Newham to libraries and community venues.

To get a taste of what Musical Rumpus is all about, check out the videos and images below for a glimpse of last year’s Mudlark Dances:

Musical Rumpus: The Mountain Shakers is also coming to Rich Mix at part of our Summer Festival this June. For tickets, head to our the website.
