On Sunday 8 December, we’re presenting a series of pop-up performances within restaurants and eateries across Spitalfields Market.
Performances are free when buying food or drink, and we will be announcing meal deals and offers shortly so watch this space!
First up is singer-songwriter Abimaro Gunnell at Leon from 3.00pm-4.00pm. As well as being one of our former Trainee Music Leaders, Abimaro is a talented vocalist who caught the attention of the PRS for Music Foundation earlier this year and was chosen to take part in their Women Make Music scheme.
From 5.00pm-6.00pm, renowned harmonica player Will Pound will showcase the lyrical sound of folk in the cosy setting of wine bar Bedales. Will has recently been nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year 2014 so you are bound to hear more from him soon!
And last but most certainly not least will be jazz vocalist and former Trainee Music Leader Alison Beck who will be treating us to some numbers from Ella Fitzgerald’s songbook. From 7.00pm-8.00pm, Alison will be finishing the evening with pieces by ‘the first lady in song’.
Enjoy the videos and sounds below for a taste of what’s to come and we’ll see you in Spitalfields Market on Sunday!
