In video: Crowd Out

Crowd Out – Classical Music pick of 2014 in The Guardian, The Times and Sunday Times.

Last November, we headed up to Birmingham to meet the other partners of Crowd Out – BCMG, Berlin Philharmoniker, conductor Simon Halsey, composer David Lang and 25 vocal leaders from the three cities. This was our introduction to the piece which would eventually have 1000 voices taking part and it was a brilliant opportunity to catch a glimpse of how it would come together.

On Saturday 22 March, Spitalfields Music are hosting a session at Shoreditch Church (St Leonard’s) to explore the piece further and meet other participants. If you haven’t expressed your interest in Crowd Out yet, this is your chance! We’ll be running through a first sing of the completed piece with movement director Thomas Guthrie and our vocal leaders headed by Isabelle Adams. No experience is necessary, so bring yourself, your enthusiasm and your individual flare and join the crowd!
