Gavin Turk is often grouped in with the Young British Artists, along with Damien Hirst, Spitalfields resident Tracy Emin, and Michael Landy. Taking modern art to limits from a young age, Turk was refused his postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Art after presenting as his exhibition an empty white-washed room adorned only with a plaque reading ‘Gavin Turk worked here, 1989-1991′. This bold move caught the eye of prolific collector Charles Saatchi who went on to show Turk’s work at the Brooklyn Museum in New York and the Royal Academy of the Arts.

Tickets are still available to see Triptych so book now to avoid disappointment – student tickets are only £5 and there are discounts for under 26s and jobseekers too!
