“It’s going to be a night of magic, earthy music, funky rhythms and wonderful improvising” – Peter Wiegold, Director of Club Inégales
We caught up with Peter Wiegold, Director of Club Inégales, to find out about the creative process and what you can expect to hear at Wilton’s Hall on 14–15 June as part of our Summer Music Festival.
Club Inégales’ new production of King Arthur fuses Purcell’s original opera with modern techniques, respecting the core but taking it on a contemporary journey influenced by the last 100 years. At times you might be able to pick out Purcell’s original writing, and at other times the music is given a radical makeover.
